I was already in university by the time it occurred to me that I could make writing a career. For some reason (despite always having a notepad on the go, some creation in the works, and scribbles on scrap paper) writing was not something I’d pictured myself doing.
When I did decide to pursue it, I threw myself into bettering my skill. Years were spent combing the internet for tips. Countless books, articles, and more were read.
That’s how I learnt that there is no “right way” to write. Everyone has a different process. All you need to do is find yours.
I started Splitting Spines to show that you do not need to fit any sort of mould to just start writing. The most important step is actually just to start!
